Applause Culture Refresh 2023
A high-impact video initiative designed to modernize the company’s employer brand and authentically communicate its vibrant culture to prospective talent. As the Lead Video Producer and Videographer, I spearheaded the creation of a comprehensive collection of new visual assets, replacing an outdated five-year-old agency production with a fresh, internally-driven narrative. This massive undertaking spanned two international offices in Framingham, MA and Berlin, Germany, resulting in a cohesive and colorful suite of videos that now serve as a primary recruiting tool for the People Ops department.

The project originated from a critical need to bridge the gap between the company’s current growth and its aging public-facing image. My role involved managing the entire production lifecycle, from automating the workflow for over 40 interview documents using Zapier to directing multi-camera setups, lighting, and audio on-site. The production was logistically demanding, requiring me to manage a rigorous four-day shoot across global locations with as many as seven interviews scheduled per day. By collaborating closely with the content and creative teams, I successfully navigated the challenges of equipment rentals and tight turnaround times, delivering polished final cuts that feature sophisticated color grading and custom motion graphics.
Branding decisions for this refresh centered on producing a visual language that felt both authentic and energetic. We pivoted away from the corporate, static feel of previous iterations toward a "colorful" and dynamic aesthetic that mirrors the lived experience of the employees. Careful consideration was given to maintaining brand consistency while highlighting the unique regional atmosphere of both the US and European offices. By integrating custom lower-third graphics and curated musical scores, we established a premium, modern look that positions the company as a top-tier destination for global talent, effectively refreshing the brand for a new generation of hires.
