The 'Ready Test Go' video podcast is a monthly thought-leadership initiative designed to elevate the Applause brand among tech enthusiasts and testing leaders. Over the course of 40+ episodes, this project has morphed into a high-impact content library that drives leads through expert interviews and insightful industry analysis.

As the Lead Producer, I collaborated directly with David Carty, Head of Global Content at Applause, to transform raw interviews into polished multimedia assets. My role spanned the entire lifecycle—from occaisional studio setup and filming to editing, managing freelance editors and overseeing the social media production cycle. We navigated significant challenges, including tight turnarounds and the inherent unpredictability of live recording environments with technical glitches.

To solve for efficiency, I implemented advanced editing workflows and built custom templates, integrating AI tools like Descript to streamline the social asset packaging process and ensure the podcast met its rigorous monthly release schedule.

Brand

While the foundational brand identity was established by graphic designer, Karley Searles, I was responsible for evolving the visual language to ensure the podcast felt consistent as further assets were necessary. This involved designing and animating "lightning round" segments and developing unique social media formats that enhanced engagement.

A key branding strategy was the guest-first visual approach, where we created bespoke graphics to highlight specific personal facts about each guest at the start of every episode. This personalized touch not only humanized the tech experts but also ensured each of the 40+ episodes felt visually fresh while maintaining cohesive brand recognition.
